I always had a sense of wanting to go deeper in my faith, and I knew I was wired to be a listener.   Experiencing Spiritual Direction started me down the path to become a Spiritual Director. After I met with my Spiritual Director – who is a Christos graduate – I started exploring the idea.  I knew I wasn’t drawn to book work but to a more contemplative posture. I participated in a Come and See event where we did listening circles. I knew quickly that this was where I belonged. It’s home to me.  

Our Tending the Holy cohort met throughout the pandemic. It was such an amazingly good and rich experience.  Christos was so formational to me during that time, and also during a time of deep personal loss when my first marriage ended.  I found a new way to relate to God. God could meet me in places that were wordless. God was so good – He just showed up wherever I was.

ABOUT MICHELLE: Michelle has served in Care Ministry and facilitated Care Ministry Training at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina, Minn., and currently volunteers in in hospice bereavement support in Fargo, ND.  She graduated with a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Christos’s Tending the Holy program in 2022. She is the mother of three adult children, and lives with her husband in Moorhead, Minn.
